"Ice" is a gorgeous rare Pearl colored overo colt.
After he was born, it was obvious that he couldn't be a cremello since our
stallion is a bay, so we had him tested through UC Davis for the pearl gene. RC
Zippin Dot Com is N/Prl, meaning he carries a copy of the pearl gene like
our mare Barlnk Meri Tardy. This gene doesn't show up unless the horse
carrying the gene is bred to a dilute colored horse (buckskin, palominos). If
Cream dilution is also present, a pseudo-double Cream dilute phenotype will
result.
